Step 4.5 - Game Selection

Permutations permutations.

So down to the last game of the season on the last day of the season the one that will take us over half way on our journey and on to the big time (big time = Blue Square Bet South) in season 2012-2013. So we have waited and waited till the penultimate games have been played out and we can see where the action is going to be.

Ryman Premier:

Championship Battle:

Billericay Town Champs.

Promotion Playoff Scrap:

Playoffs candidates decided.

Relegation Tussle:

Lewes v Harrow Borough
Wealdston v Concord R
Avely v Hendon

Evo Stik Southern Premier:

Championship Battle:

Brackley Town champs.

Promotion Playoff Scrap:

Cambridge City v Swindon Supermarine
Frome Town v Stourbridge
AFC Totton v Bedford Town

Relegation Tussle:

Bashley v Hemel Hempstead
Cirencester v Banbury
Chippenham Town v Arlesey Town
Barwell v Evesham United

All the teams hoping to make the playoffs or avoid getting relegated are underlined. Of these groups the one that intrigued us most is the race for the playoffs in the Evo Stik Southern, all 3 teams are on 71 points with only goal difference separating them albeit AFC have a decent goal difference cushion. There is even an outside chance that Oxford City or Chesham United could be caught. This is where the action is at. The idea of sending one of us to each of the games and live feeding info back and forth did cross my mind but this may not be the most social of ideas i.e. I wouldn't have anyone to go to the pub with.

AFC Totton was ruled out as they look the safest as was Stourbridges game at Frome as we couldn't easily get there. This left Cambridge as the obvious destination.
